LGS,
Lebanese Geological Society,
was
established in 1974 by the late Dr. Ziad Beydoun and his
colleagues from the American University of Beirut, The
Lebanese University, National Council for Scientific Research
and The Geology & Mining Department of The Ministry Of
Electrical and Water resources.
Since then, the society main concern was to promote geology in
the Lebanese community.
